Borger High School Celebrates Hispanic Heritage Month

This past week Borger High School Spanish teachers invited community Hispanic leaders to come and speak to their Spanish classes to celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month. Many of these speakers are proud Borger High School graduates! Students enjoyed learning about each speaker’s educational journey and their paths to success.

Thank you to all of these speakers for making time to come to BHS students and make a difference. Speakers included: Maria Escobar (Head Custodian Gateway Elementary), Paulette Ibarra (Nurse Practitioner, Steve Garcia (Owner of Customs by Steve) Jose Garcia Oyervides (WTAMU Professor), Ana Cárdenas (Business Owner), Mariela Balderrama Luna (Dental Assistant),Brisa Balderrama Clark (Jim’s Dimond owner), Magaly Lares ( Human Services - Phillips 66), Jesse Heredia (Owner – Jesse’s Pizza), Carlos Medina (Engineer).
